Weather continues to fluctuate, mercury forecast to drop lower in plains soon

The weather in Uttarakhand continues to fluctuate in ways not witnessed in recent times. The State Meteorological Center has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in the State on Tuesday. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 25 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Monday were 25.8 degrees Celsius and 6.7 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 26.1 degrees Celsius and 4.5 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 19.9 degrees Celsius and 8.8 degrees Celsis in Mukteshwar and 19.4 degrees Celsius and 8.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
However, if the weather forecast turns out to be accurate, the minimum temperature will drop by a few notches in a couple of days. The minimum temperature being witnessed in the plains these days is lower than the temperature being reported from some mountainous regions.
