Weather likely to take a turn on Saturday night
The weather in some parts of Uttarakhand is likely to take a turn on Saturday night. According to the forecast issued by the state meteorological centre, very light to light rain/thunderstorm/snowfall is likely to occur at a few places in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Tehri and Dehradun and at isolated places in Pithoragarh, Nainital, Haridwar and Pauri districts from the night of March 6. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the remaining districts of the state.
The meteorological centre has also issued a warning about the possibility of hail/lighting likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts. In the provisional state capital Dehradun, the weather on Saturday is forecast to have mainly clear sky becoming partly cloudy towards night. Thunder cloud development is likely towards late night hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 30 degrees Celsius and 12 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Saturday.
Meanwhile on Friday the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places of the state were 30 degrees Celsius and 11.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 30.1 degrees Celsius and 7.1 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.4 degrees Celsius and 5.9 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 20.2 degrees Celsius and nine degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
