Weather outlook remains same- rains in mountains while plains to remain hot & dry

Weather conditions have remained the same in Uttarakhand with the plains experiencing high temperatures while the mountains witnessed light rain and comparatively lower temperatures on Tuesday. The State meteorological centre has forecast that light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at a few places in Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Almora, Pithoragarh and Champawat districts on Wednesday. Very light to light rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in the remaining mountainous districts. Dry weather is likely to prevail in the plain districts. The meteorological centre has also issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/gusty wind (30-40 kmph) and intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, Almora, Pithoragarh and Champawat districts today. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear to partly cloudy sky on Wednesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 40 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius respectively. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Tuesday were 40.4 degrees Celsius and 26.7 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 41 degrees Celsius and 26.9 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 27.6 degrees Celsius and 14.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 29 degrees Celsius and 18.,5 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
