Will fill vacant posts in all Govt departments, says CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has assured the unemployed that 19,000 vacant posts in different government departments of the State would be filled soon. He was addressing an employment fair organised under the joint aegis of the district administration of Champawat and Employment department at APJ Abdul Kalam Engineering College, Tanakpur in Champawat on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion he said that on the one hand the State government is working in the direction of creating employment opportunities in the private sector while on the other hand it has started recruitment in the government jobs. The CM said that the State government took the recruitment scams in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) very seriously and Special Task Force (STF) and Vigilance investigations in the scam are underway. He said that any type of corruption in any recruitment process would not be tolerated and the investigation would continue till the last person involved in the scam is arrested. He informed that 45 persons have so far been arrested in the UKSSSC exam paper leak case. Dhami said that the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has released the calendar of recruitment examinations. He added that all vacant posts in the government departments of the State would be filled.
Dhami said that Uttarakhand is moving forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that he has a special affection towards Uttarakhand due to which all round development of the State is taking place. In the fair the CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 30 works worth Rs 8,417.93 lakh. He also inaugurated a library, laboratory and smart class in the college. Dhami interacted with the youngsters and sought information from the representatives of different companies in the Fair. He told the youngsters to take the benefit of the opportunity. The CM said that many companies from within the State and outside are taking part in the fair and providing jobs to the local youth. He appealed to the youngsters to become job providers instead of job seekers.
Member of Parliament Ajay Tamta, chairman of Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation Kailash Chandra Gehtodi, district Panchayat president Jyoti Rai, Ranikhet MLA Pramod Nainwal and others were present on the occasion.
