Will not hesitate to take necessary action in State’s interests, says Dhami

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State government will not hesitate even one per cent when it comes to taking action in the interests of the State and its people, whether it be the issue of domicile, land law or any other important issue. Stating that the government is preparing to implement the Uniform Civil Code in the State, he said that the government will soon table it in the Vidhan Sabha. The chief ministers stated this in his message to the public on the eve of the New Year on Sunday. Greeting the people on the occasion, Dhami said that Uttarakhand is moving ahead on the developmental path under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance and that the State government is working in every sector according to his vision.
Stating that unprecedented work is being done across the nation under PM Modi’s leadership, he said that citizens are being linked to basic facilities like homes, toilets, cooking gas, electricity and water supply in every village. The government is working diligently on the education, health, nutrition, vaccination and other necessities of girls. Stating that Ayushman Bharat Yojana has proved to be a boon for the State’s people, he said that the State government is ensuring benefit to the people under the Uttarakhand Atal Ayushman Yojana. The e-Sanjeevani telemedicine service has proved very beneficial for residents of distant areas. He also listed various other steps taken by the government to facilitate better public health in the State.
Dhami said that an attempt to attract investment in the State from across the nation and abroad in the Global Investors Summit held recently. Memoranda of understanding worth more than Rs 3,50,000 crore were signed during this summit and out of these, grounding of MoUs amounting to more than Rs 44,000 crore has been facilitated. Uttarakhand is going to emerge as a hub of investment, he added. The chief minister further said that in order to encourage religious tourism in the State, Kedarnkhand and Manaskhand are being developed. The Manaskhand Mandir Mala mission has been launched to make the ancient and important temples in the Manaskhand (Kumaon) region of the State grand on the lines of Badrinath and Kedarnath. The tourists will get modern facilities with the development of ancient temples under this mission while locals will get employment and the State’s economy will be strengthened with an increase in the number of tourists.
Dhami said that work is also being undertaken on the expansion of physical infrastructure and transport facilities for all temples and Gurudwaras on the Char Dham circuit. The chief minister further said that various stern decisions were taken during the past two and half years in Uttarakhand, which could not be taken in the past 23 years. The nation’s strictest anti-copying law was implemented and a law was enacted to prevent religious conversion. For the first time in the State, action was taken against land Jihad and about 5,000 hectare government land was freed from encroachment, he added.
