The Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that strict action will be taken against such Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) centres and surrogacy clinics which are functioning without registration in the State. He said that the State has the facility of AR clinics and banks and anyone can take treatment and consultancy from the registered ART centres and clinics for pregnancy with the use of the surrogacy technique.
The State has two ART clinics of level- 1 category under the Assisted Reproductive Technologies (Regulation) Act 2021 and 2022 and Surrogacy Regulation Act 2021 and 2022. Similarly 14 AR clinics of level -2 category and five ART banks are registered under the above mentioned acts in the State.
The issues related to problems in pregnancy can be sorted out with the help of modern technology in these centres.
