Winners of USLSA competitions awarded by Justice Malimath

The students who won positions in online competition in poetry, drawing and essay writing organised by the Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority (USLSA) on the occasion of Constitution Day were awarded by the Uttarakhand high court acting chief justice and USLSA executive chairman Ravi Malimath in the presence of justice Lok Pal Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that such awareness programmes are needed for knowledge and development of children so that they can realise and understand the importance of national unity, integrity, harmony and brotherhood. District judge/member secretary RK Khulbey informed that the competition was held on the topics of fundamental duties and citizen’s duties with the aim of making the students aware about the Indian constitution and fundamental duties. About 600 entries were received from 90 schools under two categories. The prize included a cash award of Rs 5,000 for the first position, Rs 3,000 for the second position and 2,000 for the third position holder.

Considering the Covid-19 pandemic situation, the winners of Nainital district were invited to participate in the prize giving ceremony while the rest of the winners will be provided their certificates, trophy and cash prize at the districts they reside in. The high court registrar general Dhananjay Chaturvedi and other officials were also present on the occasion.
