A 55-year-old woman, admitted to the ICU, died after a fire broke out at Panacea Hospital near Rispana on Haridwar Road. Aside from the confirmed death, 11 people, including a newborn, sustained burn injuries. Besides, three policemen suffered injuries while battling the flames. Sources said that the fire might have been caused by an AC blast.
Many of the patients, admitted at the hospital, have been shifted to other hospitals. Of the six patients brought to Kailash Hospital, two are stated to be critical.
