A 45-year-old woman Kaanti Devi died on Sunday in a collision between two scooties near Shiv Murti at Devprayag in Tehri district. The officials said that when both the scooties collided, Kanti Devi fell from the scooty and came under a passing truck which resulted in her death on the spot. Her husband who was riding the scooty sustained some serious injuries too. The police arrived at the scene and took the husband for treatment who was referred to a higher centre in Srinagar after getting preliminary treatment in Devprayag, said the officials.
