An elderly woman was killed in a leopard attack in Dugadda, a town in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand on Wednesday. According to the sources, the woman had left for Kotdwar on foot due to lack of rides and when she did not reach the place till late evening, the family members went searching for her. It was in the morning when the villagers came to know about the incident. The Ranger of the Dugadda region with a team of Forest Department reached the spot on receiving the information and recovered the half-eaten body of the woman from the forest. All possible help will reportedly be given to the victim’s family. The Forest Department has been instructed to increase patrolling in the area.
