A woman was reportedly murdered at Dhanouri in Kaliyar in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. She came to Kaliyar from Saharanpur with her husband and son. Police said that the husband and son have been absconding after the incident.
The murdered woman (25) has been identified as Sakina. Late night, someone stabbed her in the stomach, leaving her bleeding profusely. As she screamed, the people living nearby rushed in. On being informed, police from Kaliyar police station reached. The woman was rushed to Roorkee civil hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
SSP Haridwar Ajay Singh also reached Kaliyar and made inquiries. He said that police are looking for her husband and son, adding that they are trying to find out the motive of the murder and to identify the murderer.
