In latest news from Uttarakhand, the newly appointed superintendent of police of Uttarkashi district, Sarita Dobhal has taken charge on Saturday. She is the first woman SP of Uttarkashi district following the formation of the State. Before taking charge, she offered puja at Vishwanath temple. On taking charge, she held a meeting with senior police officials and took feedback on law and order. She said she would further strengthen law and order and curb crime sternly, adding that she would prioritise women’s safety, cyber crime and drug prevention.
