Work in time bound manner to improve health services: Bhatt to officers

The deputy chairperson of the State level national rural health and monitoring council, Suresh Bhatt has said that the officers should work in a time bound manner to improve the health services in the State. He chaired a meeting held to monitor technical, physical and financial progress of the programmes under the National Health Mission (MHM) Uttarakhand on Friday.
In the meeting the maternal health, child health, national TB eradication, national vector borne diseases and other programmes were reviewed and discussions were held on their progress and the challenges faced.
Bhatt said that the State government is working dedicatedly for ensuring reach of the health services in the rural and remote areas of Uttarakhand. He said that more efforts are needed to be done in this regard. In the meeting the officers presented a report of the projects and programmes of NHM.
Bhatt directed the officers to work dedicatedly and appealed that they should put in consistent efforts for increasing the quality of the health services. He assured that the State government will provide every possible help and resources for the health sector. In the view of the monsoon, Bhatt directed that a state-wide campaign should be undertaken for prevention of vector borne diseases such as dengue, malaria and chikungunya.
The additional secretary Amandeep Kaur, additional project director NHM Dr R K Singh and other officers were present on the occasion.
