Working to globally establish Uttarakhand’s culture, traditions & spiritual identity: CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State government is continuously working to establish Uttarakhand’s cultural traditions, religious heritage and spiritual identity on a global scale. He said that with the cooperation of the central government and various states, the Nanda Raj Jat Yatra and Kumbh Mela to be held next year will be organised in a safe and successful manner. The CM was addressing the 26th meeting of the Central Zonal Council (CZC) in Bastar, Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.
In the meeting chaired by the Union Home and Cooperation minister Amit Shah, discussion on several issues related to establishing better coordination between various states, strengthening internal security, infrastructure development, effective implementation of public welfare schemes and regional development were held.
Informing about the preparations for the Nanda Raj Jat Yatra and Kumbh Mela, the CM said that both these events are extremely important events linked to the cultural and spiritual heritage of not only Uttarakhand but the entire country. These events will require coordinated cooperation between the central and state governments to ensure the convenience, security, traffic management, expansion of infrastructure and smooth functioning of various arrangements for the devotees and tourists coming from India and abroad, he said.
On the issue of internal security, Dhami stressed on the need for increased coordination among border states, effective control of cybercrime, strengthening disaster management systems and optimal utilization of technological resources. He said that to meet modern challenges, it is essential to further strengthen information sharing and joint efforts between states.
He said that the Uttarakhand government is prioritizing public welfare, good governance, infrastructure development, tourism, preservation of religious and cultural heritage and empowerment of youth and women. “ The Uttarakhand government is working with full commitment to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat’’, he said.
In the meeting, Dhami also highlighted various issues related to Uttarakhand and said that only through better dialogue, cooperation and coordination between the states can the overall and balanced development of the country be given new impetus.
The CMs of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh and the ministers of various states, senior officers of administration and others attended the CZC meeting.
