World Health day observed in GDMC

The Principal of Government Doon Medical College (GDMC), Dr Ashutosh Sayana has said that every person associated with medical profession is contributing in prevention and treatment of Covid-19 pandemic. He was speaking at a programme organised at the college to mark the ‘World Health day here on Wednesday. He said that a special theme is selected every year by the World Health Organisation (WHO) to focus the attention of the general public.
The head of department of community medicine at GDMC, Dr Debvrat Rai said that people should have access for a good and quality health service. He said that in today’s world the importance of the spiritual and social health is increasing. A presentation made by the PG residents Dr Hitesh Nautiyal and Dr Nuzhat Jaheen highlighted that the concept of a healthy society can be achieved by mutual cooperation and coordination.
A magazine ‘Electronic news letter’ was also released by the Principal on the occasion. A poster competition was also organised to mark the day.
