Would fill all the vacant posts when in power: Harish Rawat
Claims that the unemployment rate dropped from 13% to 2.5% during his regime
The former chief minister of Uttarakhand and general secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Harish Rawat has said that all vacant posts in the government would be filled in a time bound manner when the Congress party comes in power in Uttarakhand in the year 2022. He was addressing a meeting of party workers and leaders at Raipur in Dehradun on Monday. He said that the Congress government would also revive all such posts which were declared dead by the BJP government. He claimed that the universal nutrition scheme for all the women in the state when the Congress comes to power in Uttarakhand. Rawat said that when he took over as the chief minister of Uttarakhand the unemployment rate was 13 percent which came down to 2.5 percent when Trivendra Singh Rawat became CM of the state. He said that his government had given employment to 32000 youth in the government jobs and had released recruitment advertisements for 16000 posts. Referring to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) the former CM said that this party is trying to make its presence felt in Uttarakhand but it was he who had promised one and half years ago that Congress would provide free electricity and water to the people of Uttarakhand when it returns to the power in the state.
Rawat said that the party workers should unite and stand firmly behind the party leadership and ensure that the party returns to power in the state.
The meeting was also addressed by former cabinet minister Hira Singh Bisht, Prabhu Lal Bahuguna and a large number of party workers.
