Directs the Sports Dept to prepare a proposal for the reservation

The sports minister Rekha Arya has directed the officials concerned to prepare a proposal to give four percent reservation to sportspersons in the State. She held a review meeting on Wednesday to discuss the future projects and the progress of current work being done by the department. She said that the matter of giving the reservation to sportspersons in the state went to court in 2013 due to certain reasons but now is the right time to work on it again. She directed the officials to make an apt proposal to present it to the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami soon. She said that the department wants this proposal to be brought in the form of an ordinance or an act in future through the cabinet to be beneficial to sportspersons of the State. She also directed the officials to make a proposal to develop the grounds and how the department can use the playgrounds commercially across the State when they are not in use for sports.
