Indian documentary Writing with Fire has been nominated for the Oscars. The documentary is about a newspaper Khabar Lahariya run by Dalit women journalists and has been nominated under the ‘Best Documentary Feature’ category. The announcement came on Tuesday by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the 94th Academy Awards. It is directed by Rinku Thomas and Sushmit Ghosh. The official Twitter account of the Academy Awards shared the reaction of the Writing with Fire team as the nomination was announced. The award ceremony will be held at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 27.
