The regional meteorological centre issued yellow alert of rain and hail for six hill districts of Uttarakhand while predicting a slight rise in the mercury in the rest of the State. The six districts which are likely to receive rain are Nainital, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Rudraprayag.
The Met office further said that light to moderate rain is likely to lash the Char Dham Yatra routes. The sky will be partly cloudy in Dehradun with possibility of light rain in some parts of the district.
The director of the regional Met centre, Bikram Singh said that the weather on Friday is likely to be mixed with the hills receiving light to moderate rain accompanied by strong winds and the plains experiencing partly cloudy sky and scattered rain.
