In latest news from Uttarakhand, after a minor girl from Gopeshwar in Chamoli district was found six months pregnant following ultrasound and other medical tests, a youth (21) was arrested on the basis of the police interrogation and investigation. A police sub inspector, Rajesh Singh, who investigated the case, said that they had arrested the youth identified as Nitin, resident of Lasi village, on the basis of the complaint lodged by the minor’s relatives at Gopeshwar police station. He had been produced at the court and was then remanded under judicial custody.
