In latest news from Uttarakhand, acting on the directive of the Nainital SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena to take stern actions against those displaying unlicensed guns on social media posts or keeping such guns, a Haldwani police team arrested a youth identified as Deepak Adhikari, (21), resident of Prempur Loshyani, under the Arms Act.
Police said he had clicked a reel with an unlicensed pistol and posted it on social media platforms to garner hits and likes in large numbers. His gun was also impounded by police.
