Youth shot dead by uncle & accomplice in Laksar village

Two men attacked and shot a man in the Akodha Kalan village of Laksar on Friday. The family of the injured man took him to the hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors. The family members have accused the victim’s maternal uncle and some relatives for shooting him. Police have taken the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem.
Vishal (21) had gone to attend a wedding in the neighboring village of Shivkumar. Reportedly, there was an argument with a distant maternal uncle in the marriage function. The people present in the programme managed to settle the argument and sent Vishal back to his house. In the evening, the distant maternal uncle and another youth reached Akodha Kalan village and shot Vishal before fleeing from the village. In a hurry, the family took the injured youth to a hospital in Laksar where the doctors declared him brought dead.
The relatives of the deceased have accused the distant maternal uncle of shooting Vishal. The police took possession of the body and sent it for post mortem examination. The Laksar police circle officer Hemendra Singh Negi said that after the quarrel between uncle and nephew, the uncle shot the nephew. One accused has been taken into custody from the spot and is being interrogated. The accused have been identified as Rajneesh and Raju, who escaped after the incident and will be arrested soon, said Negi.
