Youth to play important role in development journey of India: Governor

The governor Lieutenant General ( Rtd) Gurmit Singh has said that the youth will play a major role in the development journey of India. He said that India has become the fifth largest economy of the world and it is moving forward on the path of becoming the third largest economy of the world.
The governor was addressing the first convocation of the COER University Roorkee on Saturday. Congratulating the students, the governor said that they will find better career opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence, quantum computing, space and cyber technology. He said that communication is important in today’s world. He said that the youngsters should think out of the box in a rapidly changing and evolving world. The governor suggested that instead of becoming job seekers, the young graduates should become employment providers.
In the ceremony the governor conferred degrees and medals to the meritorious students. The ceremony was presided over by the registrar Manish Kumar. The vice chancellor Ankush Mittal presented the annual report of the university and narrated its achievements.
