10 students detained for creating public nuisance

Ten students were detained late on Saturday night by the Premnagar police for creating nuisance in public places on the weekend. The police acted after receiving information that some students were indulging in hooliganism and creating disturbance outside hostels in the Paundha-Bidhauli area.
According to police officials, strict instructions have been given by the Dehradun senior superintendent of police to take action against anyone disturbing public peace. The police detained 10 students from different locations. According to officials, legal action has been taken against them and a report has also been sent to their institution for further action. Police said that they will continue to monitor such activities to maintain law and order in the area.
