11 deaths 630 fresh Covid-19 cases in U’khand

Tally mounts to 52959 in state, 46631 recovered

The tally of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) patients in Uttarakhand jumped to 52959 on Wednesday with the state health department reporting 630 new cases of the disease. The department also reported deaths of 11 patients of the Covid-19 on Wednesday. The death toll from the disease in the state has now increased to 688. On the day 663 patients of the disease were declared cured by the authorities.  A total of 46631 patients have so far recovered from the disease and the percentage recovery for the Covid-19 in Uttarakhand is at 82.39 percent. The infection rate (IF) of the disease is at 7.09 percent and the doubling rate for the state in the last seven days is 57.25 days.

Four patients of the Covid-19 were reported dead at Himalayan hospital Dehradun on Wednesday. Three patients of the disease each succumbed at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) hospital and Sushila Tiwari government hospital, Haldwani. One person was reported dead at HNB base hospital Srinagar.

The authorities reported 224 patients of Covid-19 in Dehradun on Wednesday. Similarly 82 patients were reported in Udham Singh Nagar, 73 in Haridwar, 61 in Nainital, 43 in Pauri Garhwal, 32 in Uttarkashi, 28 in Champawat, 27 in Pithoragarh, 25 in Tehri, 19 in Bageshwar, nine in Champawat and seven in Rudraprayag district on Wednesday.

Out of 663 patients discharged on Wednesday, 205 belonged to Udham Singh Nagar, 195 to Dehradun, 60 from Pithoragarh and 56 from Nainital.

 The state now has 8367 active patients of the disease. Dehradun district with 2633 active cases is at top of table while Haridwar with 1528 active cases is on second spot. Nainital has 737, Tehri 605, Uttarkashi 612, Pauri 545, Udham Singh Nagar 513, Chamoli 272, Champawat 243, Pithoragarh 220, Rudraprayag 158 and Almora 143 active patients of the disease. With 128 active patients of Covid-19 Bageshwar district is at bottom of the table.  

The state administration has set up 229 containment zones in different parts of the state to control the spread of the disease.
