15-day National Cyber Security Workshop inaugurated at SVU

 The 15-day National Cyber Security Workshop-2026 being organised under the joint aegis of Uttar Pradesh police and Shri Venkateshwara University was inaugurated on Thursday.  The organisers said that the objective of the fortnight-long national workshop was to halt the spiralling cybercrimes like hacking, phishing, digital arrest, malware, ransomware and banking frauds and also to help the people stay safe from them.  A number of cybercrime experts, from across the country, including Amit Dubey, explained the cybercrime preventive means to   more than 550 participants.

The founder chairman of the Venkateshwara Group of Institutions, Sudhir Giri said that over 850 students studying cyber management and cyber law and cyber security enthusiasts from across the country are participating in this workshop. Addressing the workshop, the pro- chancellor, Shri Venkateshwara University, Rajeev Tyagi said that they have started over a dozen certificate courses related to cyber security, digital fraud, hacking and e-commerce fraud. “This is to enable the people to protect themselves from cybercrimes and also make others aware about them,” he added.  

Among other dignitaries present on the occasion were the superintendent of police, Amroha, Lakhan Singh Yadav; deputy SP Anjali Kataria, additional SP Akhilesh Bhadoria and the vice-chancellor, SVU, Krishna Kant Dave.
