In latest news from Uttarakhand, the 16th Aquatic Meet was organised in the swimming pool of All Saints’ College in Nainital. On this occasion, sub-junior, junior, middle and senior students showed their swimming skills in 25m, 50m and 100m races in freestyle, breast stroke, back stroke and butterfly stroke. Class 2 students participated in life jacket race. In the competition, the swimmers also performed brilliantly in 8.25m relay race and 100m medley race. Apart from this, the students also participated in inter-house relay race.
The retired colonel and Golf captain of Raj Bhavan Golf Club Vivek Bhatt lauded the All Saints’ College’s initiative in women empowerment through sports activities. He said he was pleased with the swimming skill of the students displayed in the competition.
The school’s principal Kiran Jarmaya said that the success of the competition would encourage them to host more such events.
