2-day life skills workshop starts in KU’s Bhimtal campus

A two-day life skills workshop started at the Department of Management Studies, Bhimtal campus of Kumaun University. Notably, this workshop is being organised under the PM-USHA initiative whose aim is to empower students with academic knowledge as well as skills required for successful career. A total of 155 students from MBA, Pharmacy and Biotechnology departments are participating in the workshop. The VC Diwan Singh Rawat gave a message to the participating students.
Damini Juyal who was present as the expert at the workshop on the first day guided the students in detail on topics like effective communication, self-confidence, interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution, critical thinking and problem solving, flexibility and growth mindset.
The workshop was conducted by Prof Amit Joshi and Prof Archana Negi Shah. They said that this initiative is an important step to connect students with experiential education and prepare them for the real challenges of the industry.
The workshop coordinator, Prof Lalit Tiwari said that the workshop underlines KU’s commitment to ensure all-round development of students under MERU (Multi-disciplinary Education and Research Universities).
