DM’s initiatives ensure14 high-risk pregnant women’s safe delivery

With the joint efforts of the district Health department team, ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers, 14 high-risk pregnant women have undergone safe deliveries so far in July. They include eight women from Mori block, three from Naugaon, two from Dunda and one from Purola blocks.
Notably, in tune with the district magistrate Prashant Arya’s directive, pregnant women at high risk are now promptly being taken to safe health centres to ensure safe delivery.
Also, the DM
had directed all CHCs, PHCs and district hospitals to provide regular and additional prenatal check-ups to women at high risks, timely referrals and strengthening ambulance and transport systems. Besides, ASHA and Anganwadi workers have been entrusted with the responsibility of monitoring these women and giving timely information.
