In latest news from Uttarakhand, three persons, including a couple, were killed and four others injured in two road accidents in Udham Singh Nagar district on Saturday. The injured were rushed to the nearest hospitals while the bodies were sent for post-mortem.
Police said that the couple was killed as a dumper rammed a scooty they were riding in Kiccha. The couple was identified as Uma and Mohan Singh, residents of Shantipur under Kiccha tehsil. The dumper driver fled the scene though the vehicle was impounded.
The second accident occurred near Shankar Farm in Pulbhatta. A car first crashed into an e-rickshaw and then the latter collided with a two-wheeler. The rider of the two-wheeler identified as Amba Prasad of Baheri village was killed while the driver and two passengers of the e-rickshaw were injured.
