The Health department has promoted 48 pharmacy officers of the State health services to the ranks of chief pharmacy officers. The Uttarakhand Pharmacists Association has expressed happiness at the long pending decision of promotion of the pharmacists.
The Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the orders for promotion of the eligible employees of different cadres were given in the review meetings of the department. He said that the newly promoted officers will soon be deployed in the hospitals.
The minister said that he has directed the officers of the department to organise regular meetings of the departmental promotion committee so that the employees are not deprived of their right of timely promotions. He said that timely promotions will increase the morale of the employees and help in improving the efficiency in the system.
