52 new cases take total number of active dengue cases to 267

The number of dengue cases continued to rise on Monday with 52 new cases being reported from different districts of the State. According to the Health department the total number of active dengue cases in the State is now 267. The cumulative number of dengue cases in the State is 1,182, out of which 902 patients have recovered from the disease.As per the official data on Monday evening, out of the 52 dengue cases reported during the day, 27 are from Dehradun district, seven from Nainital, 10 from Pauri, three from Udham Singh Nagar and five from Chamoli district. Dehradun has remained on the top among all the districts when it comes to cumulative number of cases with 682 cases followed by Haridwar with 191, Nainital with 151, Pauri with 109, Udham Singh Nagar with 27, Chamoli with 13, Rudraprayag with four, Almora with three and Bageshwar with two. No cases of dengue have been reported so far from Tehri, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Uttarkashi districts. A total of 13 dengue patients have died so far from the disease. All these deaths have taken place in Dehradun district.
