7 police officers of U’khand to receive President’s Award on I Day

The officiating director general of police Abhinav Kumar announced the names of seven police officers from Uttarakhand who will be honoured with the Medal for Meritorious Service by the President of India on the occasion of Independence Day.
These officers are inspector general of police (Fire and Emergency Services) Neeru Garg, deputy inspector general of police (Police Telecommunications) Jagat Ram, additional superintendent of police (Government Railway Police) Sarita Dobal, additional sub-inspector (Police Headquarters) Rishi Ballabh Kothiyal, platoon commander in SDRF, Harak Singh and two leading firemen Digambar Prasad and Prabodhan Singh Negi.
The DGP extended his best wishes to all the medal recipients for their exemplary service. He said that these awards recognise police’s dedication and significant contributions to the safety and well being of the people of Uttarakhand. The recognition reflects their outstanding commitment and the high standards they have set in their respective roles within the police force, he added.
