The eight-day 124th Maa Nanda Mahotsav, organised under the aegis of Shri Ram Sevak Sabha was inaugurated in Nainital on Wednesday by the former Union Minister and Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar MP Ajay Bhatt. “Culture is the foundation on which we stand,” he said.
Among others present was the MLA Sarita Arya. “Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is permeated with Nanda Devi’s divine presence. She is present in the Himalayas and provides us with energy to carry on,” she added.
On this occasion, the child artistes of Ram Sevak Sabha presented Ganesh Vandana and Shri Nanda Stuti. The organisers stressed on cleanliness.
