The Tehri district magistrate, Nitika Khandelwal distributed relief to nine disaster- affected families of village Okhla under Pratapnagar development block.
The relief items provided to the affected families included five kg flour, five kg rice, one kg arhar dal, one kg chana dal, two packets of biscuits, one litre of mustard oil, 100 grams tea leaves, candle, matchbox, salt, Maggi, sugar, ORS packet, mixed masala and milk powder packet among others.
Notably, these nine families from Okhla village have been shifted to safer places with their houses facing danger due to heavy rain. The DM said that relief materials would continue to be distributed among the affected families until situation becomes normal.
