92 new Covid cases, one death in U’khand

The curve of the third wave of the pandemic of Covid-19 has almost flattened in Uttarakhand. For the first time after a period of more than two months, the state health department reported less than 100 new cases of the disease on Friday. Barring Dehradun, Haridwar and Pauri all the districts reported less than 10 new patients on the day.
The health department reported the death of one patient from the disease and detected only 92 new cases of the disease on the day. The authorities declared 106 patients cured on the day which further reduced the active case count in the state to 934 on Friday.
The department has so far detected 91,127 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 86,746 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year while 261 patients have died in the state since January 1 this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 95.19 per cent on Friday. The positivity rate of the disease was reported at 1.07 per cent on the day.
The authorities reported the death of one patient at Synergy hospital Dehradun on Friday.
The health department reported 26 new patients from Dehradun, 24 from Haridwar and 10 from Pauri on Friday. No new patient was found in Bageshwar district on the day.
The active case count of Covid-19 in the state is now at 934. Dehradun with 268 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Haridwar has 140 active cases of the disease. Bageshwar is at the bottom of the table with nine active cases. In the ongoing vaccination drive 10,512 people were vaccinated in 859 sessions in the state held on Friday.
