More rain in store today before withdrawal of monsoon

Heavy rainfall warning issued for four districts today
With the monsoon slated to withdraw from the State this week, various parts of the State witnessed light to moderate rain while snowfall was reported in the higher reaches on Sunday. Monday is also expected to be a rainy day with the State meteorological centre issuing a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital and Champawat districts today. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and intense showers are likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of the State on Monday. Apart from this, light to moderate rain / thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the districts today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly to generally cloudy sky. Moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 30 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Monday.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 28.6 degrees Celsius and 20.6 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 21.7 degrees Celsius and 20.3 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 11.1 degrees Celsius and 9.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 19.5 degrees Celsius and 12.8 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
