SSP suspends SI for negligence in probe, issues warning to finance company agents

The Haridwar senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh has suspended a lady sub inspector for negligence in investigation of a serious crime. Singh has also said that action will be taken against finance company employees if they take possession of vehicles of defaulters without first informing the police.
The SSP has stressed in the past that negligence in investigation of crime will not be tolerated. On Wednesday, he ordered the suspension of sub inspector Nisha Singh who was posted at the SIIDCUL police station. She is said to have been negligent in investigating a serious crime case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Singh has directed all the police personnel to ensure that policing is victim-oriented and that no victim should be deprived of the help of the police.
In addition to this, the SSP has also directed that strict action will be taken against finance companies if they take possession of vehicles of defaulters without informing the police. The SSP said that if the companies take possession of vehicles without informing the police, a case of robbery will be lodged against the persons responsible.
