Luminous Power Technologies announced that it will open a state-of-the-art solar panel manufacturing plant in Uttarakhand. Located in the industrial region of Rudrapur in Udham Singh Nagar district, this facility will be equipped with the latest technology to design and produce high-quality solar panels to be used for both residential and commercial applications. The new manufacturing plant will play a vital role in expanding the company’s solar portfolio and is expected to be fully operational by the end of this year.
According to company officials, once operational, the facility, spread across 10 acres will help enable a solar production capacity of 500 MW per annum, expandable up to 1 GW, producing a range of solar panels with a power output of 40W to 600W.
The company’s CEO and managing director Preeti Bajaj said,”We are excited to announce the set-up of our first solar panel facility in Rudrapur. This is a major step forward in our journey towards enabling a cleaner and more sustainable future and aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of being net zero by 2070. This fully automated facility reflects our continued efforts to invest in new and innovative technology in the field of green energy solutions. The plant will not only allow us to expand our solar portfolio to meet the growing demand for renewable power in India but will also reaffirm our continued commitment to the economic development of Uttarakhand.”
