The Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was in Haridwar. She visited and offered prayers at the Dakhsinkali temple and took part in Ganga aarti. She also called on Acharya Mahamandelswar Swami Kailasha Nanda Giri. The Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar was with her. While talking to the media, she said that Uttarakhand is Dev Bhoomi and she was happy to be here. She said she had been long nurturing a desire to do the pilgrimage to Kedarnath and it was now going to be fulfilled. Heaping praise on the Narendra Modi government, she said that it had done good works on rivers and religious places. When asked about the possible outcome of the 2024 Lok Sabha election, she said that the result would be the same as 2019. When she was asked about the threat Salman Khan had received, she said that there was nothing to worry as the country is in the safe hands of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. It is learnt that during her Kearnath pilgrimage, she would visit the cave where the Prime Minister Narendra Modi meditated in 2019.
