In order to ensure immediate and proper disposal of complaints received via Chief Minister Helpline, all section officers of the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) must resolve such complaints within a week, said the municipal commissioner Manuj Goyal. He stated this in a review meeting held in his office on Monday regarding the pending complaints received through CM Helpline. He said that the CM Helpline portal connects common people directly to the office of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and every official of the corporation should act swiftly to dispose of all kinds of complaints received through this portal. He directed all section officers to first personally become aware of the complaints received through the portal and then involve their subordinates. He said that it is mandatory for each MCD official concerned to follow up on each complaint till it gets resolved and update it’s status regularly in the record. All officers will ensure that all such complaints are resolved within seven days as per the procedure. If any complaint is related to another department or section, it should be immediately transferred to the officer concerned as per the rules without any delay, said the commissioner. He said that the complainant should also be informed about any such changes or developments over the phone. After the meeting, he also inspected the records associated with the CM Helpline portal maintained by all section officers. He asked them to work diligently to resolve these complaints as any kind of negligence will not be tolerated by the corporation.
