In latest news from Uttarakhand, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel rescued 53 people-all of Nepal origin-after the bus they were travelling in got stuck in a swollen seasonal river near Chidiyapur checkpost in Haridwar district. SDRF team members said that the bus was heading to Haridwar from Ruperia in Nepal and added that all the people, trapped inside the bus, were rescued safely. Now, efforts are being made to pull the bus out of the river, they said.
