Minister orders Health Dept officers to check health services across State

The Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat has directed the senior officers of the Health department to undertake extensive visits to different parts of the state to monitor the health services. During their visits the officers will communicate with local people and inform them about the health schemes of the Union and State governments. In an order the minister said that the department secretary, director general of health services and other senior officers will be on a month-long tour from October 5 to November 5 during which they will monitor the services in the districts. The officers will visit all the district hospitals, sub district hospitals, community health centres, primary health centres and five wellness centres in  the districts allotted and inspect the infrastructure facilities, medical equipment, availability of the medicines and deployment of the staff.   

The minister has asked the secretary R Rajesh Kumar to visit Champawat and Pithoragarh districts, mission director of National Health Mission (NHM) Swati Bhadauria to visit Dehradun and additional secretary Namami Bansal to visit Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts. Similarly Additional secretary Amandeep Kaur will visit Rudraprayag and Chamoli, Anand Srivastava  Tehri and Uttarkashi, Garima Raunkili Almora and Bageshwar, health DG Dr Vinita Shah and joint Secretary Mahavir Chauhan Pauri and director medical education and joint secretary AS Pangati will visit Haridwar district. The minister has also directed these officers to submit a detailed report of their visits.
Rawat said that effective monitoring is needed for proper implementation of the government schemes and for this the officers have been directed to hold visits to the districts allotted to them.
