The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the State Assembly, Yashpal Arya has said that the Union budget 2024-25 lacks vision and is aimed to save the Modi government. He said that there are many challenges before the economy and policy reforms are needed for them. Ayra said that in the economic survey concerns were raised about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and it was said that it is posing a serious threat to skill sets and employment, but no solution was offered in the budget for it.
He said that imports from China are all time high due to which the MSME sector of the country is in trouble but no attempt was made in the budget to find a solution in this direction.
Arya added that higher education is going out of the reach of common people but no provision was made to address the issue. He said that 83 of the 100 most polluted cities of the world are now in India but the budget has made no attempt to find a solution for this.
The LoP said that no mention of the progress of the schemes and plans started in the previous budgets was made in the budget speech of the Finance Minister.
