The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has said that the Congress party will expose the lies of the State BJP government during its Kedarnath Pratishta Raksha Yatra. The Yatra will commence on July 24 from Haridwar and will culminate at Kedarnath Dham. The PCC president Mahara who will lead the walk to Kedarnath, said that senior leaders of the party will also join the event. Interacting with the media persons at Rajiv Bhawan on Tuesday Mahara said that the Congress party has all the evidence of the false propaganda unleashed by the ruling BJP on Kedarnath and the Congress will expose it during the Yatra.
He said that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had laid the foundation stone of the Kedarnath Dham temple in Buradi of Delhi on July 10. Mahara said that a stone (shila) from Kedarnath was also taken to Delhi for the ceremony and it was reported in some newspapers but now the CM is denying it. Mahara claimed that the Kedarnath Dham Trust in Delhi is still seeking donations from the general public for construction of Kedarnath temple in Delhi which is in contradiction of its claim that it will not use the word Dham in the name of the trust. The PCC president also tried to corner the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) for what he alleged as gold missing from the Kedarnath Dham. He said that a claim that 230 kilogrammes of gold would be used on the walls of Kedarnath but now the BKTC is claiming that this quantity of gold was not used. Mahara said that BJP and BKTC are trying to mislead the people of the State and country.
