PNS/ DEHRADUN

In latest news from Doon, police arrested four persons for swindling a builder based in Ghaziabad of about Rs 63 lakh on the pretext of providing the latter an LED tender worth Rs 52 crore while posing as employees at the chief minister’s office in Dehradun.

As per the complainant Akshat Tyagi, he had met one Mahesh Mardia in Haridwar and as they grew closer, Tyagi told him about the LED tender he was eyeing on. Mardia later introduced him to two others, saying that they were working at the CM’s office. The duo assured him that he would get the tender, but for that they asked for money.  Trusting them, Tyagi transferred Rs 62.75 lakh in four instalments. Later, a work order was sent to him. When the work order was found to be fake, Tyagi filed a complaint at Kavinagar police station in Ghaziabad.

The ASP Kavinagar Abhishek Srivastava said that actions were being taken against the accused quartet.
