On the Haridwar municipal commissioner Varun Chaudhary’s instruction, a Diwali fair is being organised at Railway Road, Jwalapur for the sale of products being made by women self-help groups registered in the Municipal Corporation of Haridwar under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihood Mission.
The fair was inaugurated by assistant municipal commissioner Ravindra Dayal. Products being made by women like diyas, incense sticks, jute bags and handicraft items are being sold at the fair. City mission manager Ankit Ramola, chief sanitation inspector Arjun Singh and women of self-help groups’ members were present on the occasion.
