Sherwood College won the Mayo College Football Tournament held in Ajmer.
Congratulating the team, the principal Amandeep Sandhu stated that this tournament holds a special place among public schools in the country. Sherwood College beat Weinberg Allen School, Mussoorie, 1-0 in the final to claim the trophy. The semi-final match was played between Sherwood and Scindia School, Gwalior. In a closely contested competition, Sherwood’s team defeated Scindia by a 3-2 margin to advance to the final. Ten selected teams from across the country participated in the tournament, the principal said, adding that Sherwood College had played four matches to reach the final, defeating teams from Mayo College, Scindia School, Mayo Rising, BK Birla, and Mayoor School.
Earlier this year, the school also won the Quiz, Sherwood Football Trophy and the Entrepreneur Trophy.
