The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) will announce the results for the classes X and XII board examinations for 2025 today. This time, the UVSP will also make the results available on individual school IDs after the official announcement to address the recurring issue of students experiencing delays in accessing their results due to website crashes, the UVSP secretary Vinod Simalti said.
Simalti said that all preparations for the results announcement on April 19 have been completed. The board examination results for these classes will be released at 11 AM on the official UVSP website. In an effort to ease the difficulties caused by site crashes that hinder result access each year, UVSP has created school IDs for the particular schools. In the school’s ID, data has been incorporated a few days ago. This year, it has been decided that once the results are announced on April 19, they will be updated on the school ID of the respective institution after thirty minutes. This process will allow both students and teachers to easily access the marks, and it will also facilitate the straightforward preparation of mark sheets and early admission for the students, he said.
The board examinations under the UVSP commenced on February 21 and concluded on March 11. The evaluation of the answer sheets began on March 21 and was finalised by April 4. In Class X, a total of 113,688 students participated in the board examinations, comprising 111,420 candidates from institutions and 2,268 individual candidates. For class XII, the total number of candidates who took the board examination reached 1,096,699, including 1,052,298 institutional candidates and 4,401 individual candidates.
It will be recalled that this year, the UVSP has taken the initiative to announce its results ahead of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and ICSE. This change is due to an updated results processing method. Previously, results were dependent on an OMR system, where teachers at examination centres would record scores on OMR sheets. These sheets were then sent to the UVSP headquarters for processing, which was a lengthy procedure. However, this year, the UVSP has implemented an online system at all 29 evaluation centres. This advancement allows teachers to input marks directly, ensuring prompt transmission to the UVSP headquarters.
