Under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), Uttarakhand is at the second place in the country in health record linkage while Uttar Pradesh is at the first place with Gujarat and Bihar having secured the third and fourth positions. The Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that 100 per cent of people above five years of age would have Ayushman Bharat Health Account ID.

The State Health department officers said that more than 74 lakh health records in the State have been linked to the ABHA ID network. Apart from this, Uttarakhand has successfully completed five phases in various categories like ABHA ID, registration of hospitals and doctors and ABHA-based online OPD registration among others. They also mentioned the fact that Uttarakhand has achieved this feat despite its relatively small population.

So far, over 74, 14,923 health records have been linked to the ABHA ID network in Uttarakhand.  With health record linkage, the beneficiaries will be able to share his/her health report with the doctor in any hospital across the country. Along with this, disease tests, lab reports, treatment and medicines will be available online from home.

The State Health officers further said that the National Health Authority has been running seven microsites in four districts under Ayushman Bharat in the State out of which two each are running in Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts and one in Nainital district.  “These sites help create electronic health records fast and that is why Uttarakhand is among the leading states in health record linkage despite its small population,” said a senior Health officer.
